Ana Mary Mondragón

I am Ana Mary Mondragón. Mexican-American, multicultural, with a degree in Communication and curious by nature. Wife and mother since 1989. My family is my most treasured love and I thank each of them for being loving and beautiful mirrors.
I grew up in Mexico City in a home where I saw Buddha sitting on the Bible, resembling all is possible. At 26 I moved to Texas and during postpartum I was told depression would be my eternal companion, as part of understanding I got my Masters and PhD in Gestalt Psychotherapy. The prognosis I was given did not determine my future.  At 47 when my oldest brother passed, I became an advanced Grief Recovery specialist as part of my own healing and at 55 I  became a Holistic Wellness Coach that strives to teach others to use hypnosis as a tool to heal and discover what your Higher Self has in store for you.
Through my path of self-discovery and growth, I have learned that healing is personal, it doesn’t look the same for everyone; that is why I  intuitively use and combine different  methodologies. I am passionate about accompanying people as they overcome obstacles in their lives. I enjoy doing therapy, giving classes and workshops. I believe in the strength of a group that works together and the power of embracing one another.
I honor the presence of dignity in you and I; in honoring my dignity, I am able work with others too. We are part of a whole and interdependence
is a great way to solidly build resilience in these difficult but fascinating times: inclusiveness for me is part of navigating them.
I enjoy breaking paradigms and encourage others to do it, as well.
I like simplicity, reading, nature, trees, the sun and the moon and its effects; animals, people, cooking, painting, knitting Thanksgiving, hosting others, good food and good wine. As my Dad said, I thank “my God of Love” for family and friends and all that I am when I am with them. I love the women and men in my life.
Compassion begins at home, the absence of judgement allows for a safe space that embraces healing and seeks common good. I love sharing stories and listening to others’ stories” too. I believe the best medicine is laughter, hugs, pets and the resolution of any kind of grief.
